Loading strips, also known as cartridge strips or ammo strips, are handy tools for quickly reloading firearms, particularly in disciplines like cowboy action shooting where speed, efficiency and safety are crucial. My strips typically hold ten rounds of ammunition in a row, allowing shooters to easily grab cartridges and reload their firearms without fumbling with loose rounds.

These custom hand-made leather cartridge strips hold 10 rounds of 38/357 or 44/45 cal [your choice]; are hand tooled and sewn with cream thread and dyed a color of your choice.

You will see a bunch of these at Cowboy Action Shooting matches. It holds ten cartridges to reload two revolvers.

This is a great way to carry the correct amount of ammo to the loading table, as well as a great solution freeing up both hands to carry a rifle and shotgun.

My cartridge strips are crafted from durable 7-8 oz vegitable tanned leather and securely hold ammunition cartridges in a convenient layout. Carrying spare flints is crucial for reliable shooting with percussion rifles.

This Flint Wallet is designed from an original dated about 1790 of English manufacture. When fowling afield, British gentlemen carried their flint wallet, turnscrew, priming device, ventpick and brush, powder flask and over the shoulder shot pouch. This wallet is designed to accommodate up to 7/8 inch flints. The closing is secured with a simple half-hitch and makes a neat, attractive, functional piece of history.

Open: 4-1/2 inches wide x 5-1/4 inches tall (including flap)
Closed: 4-1/2 inches wide x 2 inches tall

Made from soft tanned cow hide. Sewed with artificial sinew.

Made the old fashioned by – by hand

The leather is hand cut, hand tooled, loops added by hand, hand dyed and antiqued, liner added by hand.

This belt has bullet loops, you can have added as many as you want to carry (weight is an issue if you add too many).

NOTE: The belt shown has a full basket weave design – if you want basket weave, let me know, cost $80 extra.

The belt is typically 2-1/2 inches wide. – let me know if you want a different width.
The belt thickness is approximately 1/4 inch.

The belt length is determined by you – see my blog post of measuring the length – no returns for wrong lengths.

Mexican Loop Holster – Ballstrardt Style – 1870 era [SL-3234]

These were typically made starting around 1870.

I found an image of this unusual Mexican Loop holster on the net somewhere. So, I thought I’d make one to see how it actually looked first hand. Then, I found a pattern on the Tandy Leather Compay website that looked very similar. This style has has a sewn and riveted loop instead of the traditional cut loop. Some call this style the “Dodge City” holster.
