• "Crop Top" Cavalry Holster - [SL-3087]

“Crop Top” Cavalry Holster – [SL-3087]

    $74.00

I saw this type of holster in a book – thought I would make a few.
Seems like a few officers in the cavalry would chop the flap off their holsters.
This is noted in a few articles in magazines and in the book “Packing Iron”

Offered in cross-draw only – about a 35 deg cant.

Fits most civil war era pistols, including Colt 1851 Navy, Colt 1860 Navy, 1858 New Army Remington, and even the Schofield American

  • Texas Jockstrap Holster

“Texas Jockstrap” Holster for Colt Single Action Army Revolvers [SL-2878]

    $82.00

The “Texas Jockstrap Holster” is a historical term for a specific style of handgun holster popular in the late 19th century, particularly in the American West. It’s characterized by its design, which resembles a jockstrap in its method of securing the firearm.

While not as common today, reproductions of Texas Jockstrap Holsters are still made for historical reenactors, cowboy action shooters, and those interested in traditional Western gear. They represent a unique piece of firearms history and a testament to the ingenuity of design in a time when functionality was paramount.
