“Possibles” bags first gained their name and popularity amongst the mountain men, pioneers, and frontiersman of the American Old West. In the 18th and 19th centuries, mountain men, minutemen, frontiersmen, and black powder hunters of all kinds would usually be found with two bags slung across their shoulders: their powder horn and their “possibles bag.” It was so-named either because it contained everything you might possibly need for the day, or because you could possibly find most anything packed in the bag. As with the ditty bag, the contents of a man’s possibles bag varied by taste and necessity.

This is a hand sewn leather stand up bullet bag for black powder round balls. This is made of 3 oz. weight light brown leather that measures 4 ” tall by 3″ across the bottom. This will hold between 20-30 round balls depending on caliber.
The laced bottom is what makes this bag very functional as a stand up bullet bag. Use this on a shooting bench at the range and your bullets will not be rolling all over the table and onto the ground. Designed to stand up when bullets are put inside. The top has a leather lanyard to close.
